All I have to say is… aye savenya maganaweeecheewaba!
Enjoy today’s Single Dad Laughing video. It’s at least five months in the making and believe me, worth every bit of time I put into it (which wasn’t much).
I have this theory that everybody has their own version of… well… just watch the video.
Dan Pearce Single Dad Laughing
PS. If you’re new here, we’d love to have you follow. We have a lot of fun around here.
And, just for fun, here are the actual lyrics for those who are curious:
Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]
Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]
Nants ingonyama bagithi baba
Sithi uhhmm ingonyama
Ingonyama
Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]
Ingonyama
Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala [A lion and a leopard come to this open place]

My kids were singing this for a while after watching it! Awesome!
Grandpa was funny and the Capri-sun microphone... Lol
Your grandpa was my favorite!
Tears in my eyes laughing so hard
Mine's the best. This was my watch over and over forever movie when I was a kid AND I'm a language nerd. Accuracy FTW. Hilarious vid.
HAHA Awesome video! Well done! Made me lol and of course... I HAD to TRY it myself! LOL You should totally do a video of your blog followers next! That would rock! LOL
That was GREAT!!! loved the girl who was speaking in japanese, lol!!! It's so funny but true how everyone has their own interpretations of the same tune, lol!! My friend used to sing "I've got to move my jacket, I've got to move my jacket, I've got to moo-oooo-oooove my jacket" instead of "I've got the moves like Jagger...." LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really needed a laugh today! LOL Thanks!
LMAO @ Grampa. I was fine 'til that part and then I totally burst out laughing and my roommates think I've lost my marbles.
Ok that made me laugh.....just as the video started playing I sang my "version" for my 13 year old...we were both laughing hard. Thanks Dan for that video!
amazing !!!
This just totally killed me. Thanks for being so awesome! :D
Posted my then-4-year-old fan-singing the opening to Lion King...
The guy in the suit and yellow tie, is his name Jim?

That was fantastic
Dan, you have this amazing ability to always make me and I am sure many others, smile and laugh. Thank you for sharing this post again. Loved it!
Do it again with Lionel Richie's lyrics in "All Night Long." I think, "tamalitos de cebolla, eh jambo jamba."
I used to think it started off with "AAYYYYYYY CARAMBA!!!! Bolisima!!!" Lol
Great thing to start my morning with! xD
i still think after that part they are singing pink pajamas penguins at the bottom
Teeheehee. Cute. Impressed, not bad at all ya'll :)
lol loved it. Noah is so cute. I think you all nailed it!
Where is your version?!?! lol
Pennsylvania!
Too funny! Great that everyone attempted to sing it too. :-)
Thanks, Dan, I laughed so hard I cried!

And here is the answer :) http://www.lionking.org/lyrics/OMPS/CircleOfLife.html
I remember when you first posted this! :)
I wanted to know what the language in the Grasslands Chant was, and I have found out that it Swahili. The composer and principal singer was originally from South Africa, exiled in 1979, and returned 20 years later.
Curiostiy killed the cat
But satisfaction brought her back!
I guess that means I'm satisfied...for now!
I especially enjoyed the Caprisun microphone... So funny how we all hear something different.
HANS ZIMMER IS MY HERO.
(I have a little bit of an obsession with this composer, interestingly, the first real movie he wrote the music for was The Lion King.)
over and out.
haha!! This is great! :D
