All I have to say is… aye savenya maganaweeecheewaba!

Enjoy today’s Single Dad Laughing video. It’s at least five months in the making and believe me, worth every bit of time I put into it (which wasn’t much).

I have this theory that everybody has their own version of… well… just watch the video.

Sorry about the quality. Turns out the “HD video” capabilities of my phone are pretty lousy. Also, I made this when I was really sleep deprived, as can be seen in the first clip when I’m actually asleep while talking.

Dan Pearce Single Dad Laughing

PS. If you’re new here, we’d love to have you follow. We have a lot of fun around here.

And, just for fun, here are the actual lyrics for those who are curious:

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]
Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]

Nants ingonyama bagithi baba
Sithi uhhmm ingonyama
Ingonyama

Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]
Ingonyama
Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala [A lion and a leopard come to this open place]

That was GREAT!!! loved the girl who was speaking in japanese, lol!!! It's so funny but true how everyone has their own interpretations of the same tune, lol!! My friend used to sing "I've got to move my jacket, I've got to move my jacket, I've got to moo-oooo-oooove my jacket" instead of "I've got the moves like Jagger...." LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to know what the language in the Grasslands Chant was, and I have found out that it Swahili. The composer and principal singer was originally from South Africa, exiled in 1979, and returned 20 years later.

HANS ZIMMER IS MY HERO.

(I have a little bit of an obsession with this composer, interestingly, the first real movie he wrote the music for was The Lion King.)

over and out.
