Yesterday, Noah and I were invited onto the Good Things Utah morning show. It was so much fun.
I didn’t really know what to expect of Noah, it being his live television debut. I didn’t know if they’d be asking him questions or if perhaps he would all-out panic when we got there.
I prepped him for a couple days prior, telling him how it would work, what the room would look like, about the cameras, who’d be watching, etc. He was really excited. Last night I took him to the store and let him choose a toy which would be his after he “worked really hard” for it on TV.
We had a few of our favorite people there to support us. My grandparents came and were the loudest part of the cheering section by far.
I also had three sisters there, along with my good friend Tweni (which, in case you’re wondering the latest, we’ve rewound our relationship back to friendship status).
When the show started, there was no doubt that Noah would be stealing this one and running faster than we could all keep up (click to enlarge).
The hosts were amazing. Angie and Nicea were so sweet, and so fun to talk to. Although, it was a bit awkward that they had a serious thing going for me (as you’ll see in the second video below).
And, when it was all over, Noah went and polished off the deep fried pecan pie from the cooking segment of the show.
After, that is, he ran off and got lost exploring the studio.
Anyways, I’ve got more than photos for you! I’ve uploaded two videos for you below. On first glance, they may seem like the same video, but trust me they’re not.
The first video is what everybody got to see on television. No editing by me, besides cutting out the breaks and gaps.
The second video showed the interview along with many of the thoughts we all were thinking while the segment was shooting. As an added bonus, much of Noah’s chirping in is transcribed for your viewing pleasure.
What’s funny is that when we came home and turned on the recording, I couldn’t get Noah to watch it. He just kept asking again and again if he could watch Toy Story 3.
Thanks again to Good Things Utah for having us on. It was a lot of fun.
