So, the cute baby picture contest just ended. Nearly 600 of the most spectacularly funny, cute, and pissed off babies had me laughing for hours while I sorted through and edited my favorites for today’s post. When I was done, I had 223 that I couldn’t live without. Then I somehow slashed that down to 174. And then eventually I gritted my teeth and got it down to 150 even.
The problem is, I LOVE BABIES. And every single one of the pics I wanted to keep and share in an SDL post. But let’s be honest… 600 pictures… that’s a lot to sort through as a reader.
So, I’m going to do five afternoon posts over the next 2-3 weeks with 30 of my favorites in each one. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Every single one I found myself narrating or giving my voice to the baby. So, I might as well continue that here!
What better picture to start with than twin Gerber babies. I mean... come on. I don't know if I've ever seen such perfect twins!
Unless you count these little guys, I guess. Their expressions say it all. "What the heck is going on here?!"

How can you not see this picture and get so happy that you start laughing uncontrollably. I heart this baby.

It's the look in her face that gets me in this one. It's like she's LOVING being hugged by her dolly.

These pictures are adorable, funny, precious, and sweet. They totally capture the joy of being around babies.
My favorite is definitely the second one in the sink.....along with your caption I laughed and laughed. Love the content baby, the girl with pigtails, the girl being hugged by her doll, and the little army dude. The little girl with the puppy dog eyes was so adorable.

This post made me smile more than I have at any other point today. I wonder if you could tell us a little about each baby- i.e. what actually made them smile, laugh, or look so adorably shocked?
You made my day! I am the mommy of the laughing little pig-tailed baby who cant quite be as serious as her big brother for the picture (pic 8). She is an absolute joy to raise and I am so glad her face brought some smiles. She makes my heart as happy as her little face is, every single day.
@Samanthartn She's GORGEOUS!!! Seriously :) I could just squish her! HOW long does it take your son to get his hair like that?!! Hours? LOL and does it stay? I've always wondered....

Picture #8 on page 1 ... her squinched up face and smile are genuine and beautiful. Made me remember how precious and enjoyable life truly is in itself. When a child that young can be so happy, at something that is so small and probably something we take for granted everyday it makes me re evaluate and appreciate things more. Thank you for sharing and to who ever is the parents to that child, you are doing a great job at raising a happy and beautiful child.

Aw, another great bunch of kiddos! I commend your taste, Dan--not only did you include my other entry (big sis will be pleased, as little sis was in last week's batch), but you also chose some of my favorites from the contest.
The "dramatic lighting" photo of the girl in the high chair is just gorgeous. I also love the blue-eyed baby in the brown & yellow costume, the daddy with the upside-down daughter, the Gerber baby twins, and the girl laughing (apparently) at her companion with the Justin Bieber 'do.
But of course, my very favorite is the girl checking out the monkey puppet . . . that's my Audrey, who's now six and a half. Thanks for making my day by including her! :-)
OMG!! You just made me the happiest mama in the world! You had a photo of my son in your first post of favorite pictures.... and you included the other one in this post! He's #5 on page 2. :) That is one of my favorite pictures of him - his first little grin, at a few hours old. <3

the little guy with the oxygen took me back. my sons were preemies and one came home looking like that. the machine was huge, so he was sort of stuck in one room for three months. I wish I had a picture of his face the first time he was off the oxygen and could be on his tummy in another room! It was like the light switched on for the first time.
These pics are amazing! My kids are teenagers now and it makes me go flipping thru the photo albums.....My how I miss the innocence of their younger years.
So cool.....both my pictures are in this group! My son is the really determined boy on page 1 and my daughter is the enchanted one with the cow on page 2. So looking forward to the final results to see if either made it to the top 12.

The gigantic cup is sold at Wal-Mart as a flower pot...really cute and huge!
oh, I want them so bad, it was love at first sight! I stalk my walmart hoping to find one on sale, they had some at one time that were shaped like flowers (still had the mug handle) <3!

I love these pictures. I know you've already picked your favorite pictures but I still might send you the one of my son (It was a Calivin & Hobbs moment). The gigantic tea cup you can get at fred meyer and I think walmart had them. They are huge.

I got that one at Walmart about 5 years ago. Haven't seen them since, though I'm still looking because I sold mine a couple years back and regret it!!
these are super cute, and brightened up my afternoon. there are two commercials out right now that have babies in them i want to steal. one is the little guy in the kitchen sink getting a bath (johnsons and johnsons maybe?). and the other is a little girl playing with a playskool dog (learn and something) toy. they are both too adorable.
