Bed Hog

I don't want to point any fingers or name any names, but there's one person in this house who is a serious BED HOG.

Noah’s Quotable Quotes

So, for the past couple months I've been jotting down some of Noah's more memorable quotes. And by memorable, I mean they had me ROFLSHMBE. Here they are for your enjoyment.

The Old Woman on the Trail

While hiking yesterday, I came across an old lady who I became sure would die if she didn't get help. I was also convinced it would be on my head if she did die...

It’s My Party and I’ll Tweet If It Kills Me

Okay all you people who tweet, have ever tweeted, or who wonder what the heck twitter is all about... let's get down to business. I need your help getting my funny bone set back in place.

Noah… *this close* to being a big brother!

Noah's mom is about to have a baby! Noah has done and said some really cute things along the way as he prepares to become a big brother.

Quit Being So Damn Manly

“What’ll it be?” the bartender asked me. I looked around at the people surrounding me. A beautiful blonde. A tall good looking brunette. A guy with pecs that could crush me between them should I let my gaze linger too long.

I’m Christian, unless you’re gay – Live Reading by Dan Pearce

I decided to make a live recording of this post for two reasons. One, I realized that the way each person reads it is different. Two, I wanted something more than words on paper for my son to remember me by.

Vee Vaaant to Suck Your Blood!

When my kid became obsessed with vampires, I decided to actually turn us into vampires. I thought he'd love it. His reaction was a little different that I hoped.

An update on two incredible sisters, fighting to survive.

I told you about Natalie and Alice, two sisters who life has taken to the brink of death. I also asked you for help for what they were about to go through. Thought I'd give you an update.

“I’m still a lot closer to love than you are.”

Yesterday I posted Goodbye Brain, Hello Heart. The response was what I thought it would be. Bravos and Boos. Today I share my follow up response to that.

Goodbye brain. Hello heart.

My brain has really done a number on me, constantly analyzing and hurting my relationships. But then something happened that finally made me say goodbye to my brain and hello to my heart.

Not so awesome emails.

I have to giggle from time to time at some of the emails I get from people who obviously have never read Single Dad Laughing. One thing that a lot of people say when they email me is, "our writing style is exactly the same!" Of course, I'm often intrigued and I usually go take a look.Every once in a super great while, I am able to locate some amount of similarity. The majority of the time, I have to go check the link they sent to make sure I ended up at the right place. In fact, most of the time it's so completely opposite (is there an opposite when it comes to writing?) of mine that I wonder if they've ever even read mine. Baby products. Politics. One person sent me to their post about how hybrid cars are actually going to destroy the environment. But yeah... similar.I also have to laugh when certain people write to me,...

What Others Think of You is None of Your Business

Oh man, is it ever tempting to dig and prod and poke for the "truth" when we find out somebody else has a negative opinion about us. I'm telling you now. It won't end well.
