“Hey Dan, what do you want to do tonight?”

“Oh, I don’t know, I’m up for anything.”

“How about we have some fun with Photoshop?”

“Sounds good to me. Fabulous Wendy’s coming over. She can join in the fun.”

That was the conversation that took place between my buddy Dave and me a little while back. And by a little while back, I mean ten months ago back. That night we all went to the supermarket with one goal… pick some produce and come up with our own photoshopping awesomeness by the end of the night.

We spent far too long that night dinking around, but come bed time we were able to squeak out a few pics.

Dave went for the eggplant/bell pepper combo, and I have to say… his finished project is so delightfully weird. The eggplant to me looks like a super-geek who hasn’t washed his hair in weeks. The bell pepper, is happy little sidekick.

Fabulous Wendy, in her limited Photoshop experience (and by limited I mean zero) created a sizzling red-hot chili pepper with corn-on-the-cob-teeth… with the help of yours truly.

It has been pointed out that this looks an awful lot like Mary Murphy. I have to agree.

As I walked around the supermarket, I found these crazy little squashes, and I spent the next 30 minutes trying to think of what I could do with them because they were too awesome not to use somehow. And then it hit me. They made good boxing gloves. So, for my creation, I made a coconut boxer.

And, that’s what I do on Saturday nights for fun. No wonder the girls are lined up around the block…

Oh, wait… when did that line disappear?

PS. I posted this on my Facebook wall the day we finished them, and one of my friends commented “I don’t understand these types of pics….”

What’s to understand? They’re awesome. That’s all you need to know.

Maybe a little weird.

Maybe a lot weird.

What do you think? Do you “get them?”
