Finally, my favorite post of the week! Every Saturday night I take some of the photos that you have uploaded to the Facebook wall, and I post them here. I love This is Beautiful You because it gives me (and everybody else) an incredible glimpse of who we all are. It puts a face on the awesome people coming here. It gives us a beautiful idea of the uniqueness and diversity of the followers here at SDL. More than anything, it shows all of us just how beautiful we each can be.
Anyway, thank you for sharing a small part of yourselves. It’s my honor to put the spotlight on you today. This is beautiful you.

Which photos made you the happiest today?
If you’d like to send in photos to be considered for a future “This is beautiful you” and other future blog posts, please post them on the Facebook wall (we need lots more!). Only upload photos that you don’t mind me using, and that you have the rights to. The photos can be of yourself, or you with anybody that you love or are close to (kids, friends, significant others, parents, siblings, whoever!).
I wish I could post them all today. If your photo didn’t make it, check back over the next few weeks! The picking process is 100% random.

PS. If you’re new here, we’d love to have you find a way to follow along. We have a lot of fun around here.

OMG, the three bald women are awesome and the gay couple- you can see their Love for each other! Beautiful :)
I missed this one since it was a crazy weekend last week! Thanks, Dan, for putting the picture of my dad with my two oldest sons (they are now 23 and 15)... he passed away less than a year after that photo was taken. I still miss him every day!
My mom is beautiful as she struggles to hold on to her identity and life while enduring the wrath of alziemers. I'm grateful to have been guided and taught by her and am honored to do the same for her now.
I am tagging my sister Lisa Saline because she is strong and a wonderful mother.
I loved them all...the babies with daddy or mommy asleep, the two men obviously in love, the smiles...all the smiles. I hope your day was all it could be. Easter Sunday and it was warm in Seattle, WA....yeaaa.
@ Keri Schwartz- Love you sweetie!
I really resonated with the three bald womyn..... and also the gay couple. They both spoke volumes about the will to live and be free to be who they are.
Awww, you made me cry, Kat!
I can't even tell you how honored I feel, Caterina Lewis. Thank you for the kind words. AND to place me in the same sentence as Dina Giovanelli and Natasha Chen is even greater honor!
I second the Natasha Chen for being the best possible friend and colleague I could ever ask for. And thank you, Caterina Lewis, for the very kind shout out!
Ahhhh! I'm a new follower, and I just love this idea! They all made me smile, and feel happy....just real peeps, having fun, mugging for the lens. :)
I want to tag them all! But I will settle for picking a few prominent voices for justice this week: Meeka Mason, Natasha Chen, and Dina Giovanelli, who are always reminding me to get my nose out of my navel and remember how lucky I really am. And speaking of that reminder, also Heather Williams, who is gorgeous inside AND out, and the stunning Robbin LeBarron Dzembo, "grace under pressure" personified.
What makes all of these people so beautiful is the amazing diversity of the human species.
The crashed-out babies with their daddies!
My favorite is the one of the little boy giving his mother a kiss on the cheek :) My most recent post... Today I Need to Write
My little sister, Sarrah Malas. Im very proud of her. Honors at OSU, receiving national recognizions in a few differet states. Not only is she a full-time student, but she works her butt off! Again, im very proud of my baby sister! And love her so much!
Ginny Doremus for being one of my longest-standing friends and becoming my friday-night bosom buddy and confidant, Dennis Colburn for dealing with my never-ending stream of bullshit and still staying by my side, Lyndsi Knight for being my other longest-standing friend who never did tolerate my own self-serving stupidity for long... And Abu Miner, who was there for me longer than anyone ever expected, loved me unconditionally, and will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Lynette Kaufmann is beautiful for her great love of animals and her dedication to them. Especially Molly, who has gone from wheelchairbound to walking. WOW I admire her
This weeks faves are the three women with the shaved heads (such a sweet, supportive, loving act) and the one with the two young men.
You picked my two favorites! www.KidNeedsAKIdney.blogspot.com
Becki Miner for always being there for me. Kathleen Doremus for being the best mother anyone could ask for. Kathryn E McCann for always sensing when I need to talk. Candice Miller Attrill for overcoming insurmountable odds and growing into a beautiful woman, mother and wife. Dan Doremus for always making me laugh. Josh Doremus for being an amazing source of comfort and information, as well as being able to tell me when I'm being stupid. Aileen Markov for being Loon. Judy Joslin for being very close to what I want to be when I grow up. Cindy Kowles Tschetter & Jake Tschetter for being amazing friends and parents with three beautiful little boys who will never not know love.
My best friend, Keri Schwartz, is beautiful inside and out. She is one of the sweetest women I've ever known, she's always there for the people she loves, and she is the most loyal friend I could ever ask for.
Check out my friends list! They are all beautiful!

I know those faces! :)
The photo of the man in the orange shirt sleeping with the baby on his chest. That is beautiful. There is also so much beauty in the photo of the two men. One with his arms over the others shoulders, and they are looking into each others eyes. Love.
beauty is as beauty does.
This isn't fake. Apparently ,if you copy and paste this to ten pages in the nex ten minutes u will have the best day of ur life tomorrow . U will either ge kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room tonight. In 53 mins someone wil say i love you or im sorry or i wanna go out with you
My friend Heather Yates, she just finished a round of radiation treatment and now has to be away from her two little boys and her husband on Easter.Cancer sucks! but she will have may Easters to come!
@Shane Robert Mero - although this tag wont reach his page because Heaven is too far away. Shane was my older brother, only 1 yr and 16 days older than I. He was born with Prader-Willie Syndrome and struggled all his life but he did it always with a smile upon his face. He taught my patience and unconditional love. Sadly, he passed away in 2004 at the age of 27. He was exceptional! He never let his pain get the best of him and smiled at everyone. It goes to show you that we all need to stop taking life for granted because tomorrow is NO guaranteed.
My friends Katrina Kendrix, Christopher Connor, Robyn Johnson, Ahsan Mir, David Reph, Chasity Malatesta, Rachel Miles Davis, Lisa N Ray Ragano, Inessa Anderson, Stacy Reyes Howard, and my best friend Violeta Beideck are all beautiful not only because they are some of the kindest, most caring and generous people I'm privileged to know, but because every day they help make the world a far kinder, creative and all around better place to live in.
Eddy Fettig you are the most beautiful person I have ever met. Your strength, bravery, kindness, heart, humor, intelligence and thoughtfulness (among many other qualities) are stunning. Every bit of you, inside and out, is beautiful and I am so honored to be able to call you my friend.
When I think "beautiful person", I immediately think of Kristen D'Amico. She is a genuinely kind-hearted person. She has a strong, loving heart; she's an amazing mother; and a person couldn't ask for a more faithful friend.
My friend Laurie Terracciano is beautiful for her pretty smile and her easy laugh. I admire her as a mom from the way she plays with her kids, loves on them and continues to find more ways to be the best parent she can be. She's an incredible friend to me always there when I need her, ready to discuss mommy stuff, and never fails to tell me when I'm wrong! (which thankfully is RARE!) She's a gem in a world full of people who don't have time, 'can't' for whatever reason, or just don't care. She's beautiful inside and out.
My oldest daughter, Anne Patton, Aaron Gooch, and their son Gabriel, who will be 9 months old tomorrow. That little family has brought so much light and joy into our lives -- I can't remember who we were without them.
Stacy Luebbe - She is beautiful. Inside and out. She's kind, caring, loving, and has such a huge heart that I am often humbled at how much more she gives to others than she takes in herself.
My mom (and dad) Charlotte Gainey Kroening because they are the most wonderful people and parents in the world! Gave me everything I needed, a bunch of stuff I wanted, and gave me a place to belong in this world. I don't know where I would be without them. My mom is compassionate and my dad is hard working, a jack of all trades, but master of none. And even though my mom is physically disabled she continues to work with children and they all love her. My dad is near 70 and still runs his own business, plants and harvests his garden, and continues to take care of my mother and his family.
As was it was a blessing to us! Brian Thomas you have the best heart! anyone who doesn't see that, is missing out! we had so much fun today!

Barbara Ann Sheely is my sister and I think she is beautiful because of the love and compassion she has for everyone and has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. She is also a missionary and has traveled all over the world doing God's work. Love and warmth just exudes from her all of the time! I love her so very much!!
I'm tagging my 14-year-old son Donovan because he is the most wonderful son and human being I know. God could not have blessed me and the world with you more. Not only is he a beautiful son, but he shares his beautiful soul with everyone on his Positiviteens page, too. I love you, Donovan!

aawww Kateee!! I love you and miss you soo muchhh!!
Heather Cilley is a beautiful woman who I have seen grow in just a year or so. She is amazing.
Debbi Barreras is an absolutely beautiful person for many reasons, but one of the most poignant is that she cares deeply for people from all walks of life and has amazing empathy for everyone. She help empower every person she meets, including parents who struggle with kiddos with behavior issues and disabilities.
I think my very dear friend Lisa Zippy Schneider Zipser and her 7 year old baby girl are beautiful....we had so much fun doing chalk art on the driveway today...and playin with the pups...it was a blessing to my heart!
I couldn't just pick one that made me happy, they are all beautiful! Memories immortalized for all the world to see, and each has a story behind it I'm sure. :D
