Bahaha half they were lite in our neighborhood!
I saw almost the exact same show from my best-friends house....she lives off Wasatch, between big and little Cottonwood Canyon. Very cool!

Well, you should be in Reykjavik, Iceland. on New Years Eve. That's something to talk about! This video shows a part of it: http://live.mila.is/newyears
This is really cool!
Becky, I think the proper term is "ash." ;P
Beautiful picture!
Sounds good! Up here in Idaho we just keep starting fires with them! :(
Except our mountain is now charcoal :(
Im in Dan ;)
Good tip to click on it. Super.
We're not supposed to let off loads of fireworks as usually our desert is very flammable. The aliens from the south of town rarely take that into effect, however, and shoot off plenty of spectacular fireworks, plus, unfortunately, guns. For some reason they've never learned the fact that what goes up must come down. So watching the fireworks is always a dicey proposition.
We loved watching fireworks in a pocket park near the ball field until our baseball team left and they stopped shooting them. Those suckers broke RIGHT over our heads. In fact, my son once saved a shell which bombed our picnic. That thing was as big as a salad bowl! Good times when you're getting shelled by fireworks...rofl
My dad had a panic attack at the fireworks place. Nobody knew what had caused it, not even him. It had subsided when the fireworks started, but still, hmmm...
Luckily, the fireworks were spectacular!
What a great picture! Our fireworks were canceled for the 4th because most of my county was out of power this past week and the police that would be at the fair grounds for crowd control were needed to direct traffic at the intersections that had no power. But I saw a big sign this morning when I was heading into work that they rescheduled them for this coming friday!
whoa!!! mad skills. utterly gorgeous shot!
cool
Nice pic!
Way cool!!
This is really neat!
Wow, you have a very nice camera. Can't believe the vibrancy of those colors.
Wow! My kids would be amazed at that sight! Nothing here compares to that view.
Awesome!
Love it:)! We loved seeing fireworks surrounding us from our balcony on the 4th. I'm so glad that so many people still decided to celebrate with fireworks...even with all of the wild fires, it's perfectly safe as long as you stay within city limits and use common sense.
here in north Arkansas we did not have fireworks this year . do to that we have had no rain in a mouth but thy will have it at a later date
b-e-a-u-tiful.
I didn't get to do any fireworks this year, not that its illegal at my home, I just didn't feel much like celebrating.
Everyone is so divided that it didn't feel like independence day to me. more like bondage day.
Great shot; I was on a hill close to downtown and saw much of the same, but your picture captures it so-so much better!
Haha! That's so cool!
those are gorgeous pictures nicely done!
Michigan legalized ground to air fireworks too this year so that is how Michigan looked also. I wanted to celebrate with family but my family lives about an hour to 2 hours away and couldn't make it down there so we spent it with friends and had a wonderful time.
that's a fantastic photo!
I tried hard to capture a picture like this. I love living hillside even though we are always being evacuated for fires. I wouldn't trade it.
I thought for sure when I saw this post it was going to be a photo of the San Diago fireworks mishap-- also, a great photo...and a really funny story to go along with it. Truth: that is also a beautiful photo!
