Today was Noah’s first day of Kindergarten. How we got here so dang quickly is beyond me. The morning was definitely bitter sweet.

I don’t know if I’m ready for my kid to be a bus-riding, recess-playing, homework-doing big kid just yet.

I guess I don’t have a choice.

Sigh.

Here are a few photos we snapped this morning. And by a few, I mean a fraction of what we actually took. On days like today, Mom and Dad get pretty danged camera-happy.

And… lucky me. It was my day to pick him up from school, which means I got to be first to hear all about his adventures, his new friends, his new teacher, and his new love for big kid school.

Halfway home, Noah said, “Day one of kindergarten equals the most awesome day ever!”

PS. How has the whole kindergarten thing affected you? And if your kid isn’t quite there, is it something that scares you or excites you?
