Finally, my favorite post of the week! Every Saturday night or Sunday morning I take some of the photos that you have uploaded to the Facebook wall, and I post them here. I love This is Beautiful You because it gives me (and everybody else) an incredible glimpse of who we all are. It puts a face on the awesome people coming here. It gives us a beautiful idea of the uniqueness and diversity of the followers here at SDL. More than anything, it shows all of us just how beautiful we each can be.
Anyway, thank you for sharing a small part of yourselves. It’s my honor to put the spotlight on you today. This is beautiful you.
Which photos made you the happiest today?
If you’d like to send in photos to be considered for a future “This is beautiful you” and other future blog posts, please post them on the Facebook wall (we need lots more!). Only upload photos that you don’t mind me using, and that you have the rights to. The photos can be of yourself, or you with anybody that you love or are close to (kids, friends, significant others, parents, siblings, whoever!).
I wish I could post them all today. If your photo didn’t make it, check back over the next few weeks! The picking process is 100% random.

PS. If you’re new here, we’d love to have you find a way to follow along. We have a lot of fun around here.
PPS. Tag someone in the comments below that you think is BEAUTIFUL and tell us all why!

I loved the first two old black and whot4e photos. You just get the sense that those couples are going to last.
Gillian is one of the most beautiful people I know! She's a very strong and independent woman who brings a smile to the heart of everyone she meets
Love the two babysitters.... the grandparents sleeping are cute too!
I love the old B&W one of them as young adults, and the one where thr grandparents are both asleep on the couch, and the 2 young kids are wide awake. :)
My Great Grandma Xula. She raised multiple generations including my brother and me. She taught me about chocolate. How to garden. How to love. Unconditionally. With open arms and heart. Never judging. Always there. She did teach me manners and not to cuss. Discipline was usually a look and a sniff. Worse than any criticism because you knew you had just disappointed her. I always want to live up to her ideal image of me...
Julie you made me cry thanks for saying that and remember l love you
I love the black and white one of the young couple, where he is hugging her from behind-- they look so happy!!
They are all wonderful, but I adore the two with the grandpas holding the babies.
Judy Chambers is so good to me. She's welcomed me to her home with open arms and an open heart even though she's on the "other side" of a divorce. She's such a good friend with a beautiful heart, she taught me how to be a better parent than I ever could have figured out alone. I love that woman and I'm so glad we're connected again.
I love the one with the grandparents asleep on the couch and the little ones are cuddled up to them. Its so sweet.
I agree. Best beautiful you ever.
Which one made me the happiest????? ALL of them!!!!!!
One of my most favorite "Beautiful You" posts yet! Loved the one where the toddlers outlasted the grandparents on movie night! Every last picture was inspiring!
My amazing and beautiful mother Patricia Gray is the grandmother (Grammy) to my kids that I never had. She is my best friend, my mom and the link to our family's history being passed down to my own children. She feeds them junk food, lets them watch too much TV, buys them things they don't need all while teaching them family recipes, reading books with them, listening to their endless chatter and loving them beyond words. I'm a very blessed daughter and mom to have her in my life.
All of them, I
Karen Graham McBride is one of my idols when it comes to parenting. She has been such a positive influence on me. I hope I can do a good job when I have kids some day.
