Finally, my favorite post of the week! Every Saturday night or Sunday morning I take some of the photos that you have uploaded to the Facebook wall, and I post them here. I love This is Beautiful You because it gives me (and everybody else) an incredible glimpse of who we all are. It puts a face on the awesome people coming here. It gives us a beautiful idea of the uniqueness and diversity of the followers here at SDL. More than anything, it shows all of us just how beautiful we each can be.
Anyway, thank you for sharing a small part of yourselves. It’s my honor to put the spotlight on you today. This is beautiful you.
Which photos made you the happiest today?
If you’d like to send in photos to be considered for a future “This is beautiful you” and other future blog posts, please post them on the Facebook wall (we need lots more!). Only upload photos that you don’t mind me using, and that you have the rights to. The photos can be of yourself, or you with anybody that you love or are close to (kids, friends, significant others, parents, siblings, whoever!).
I wish I could post them all today. If your photo didn’t make it, check back over the next few weeks! The picking process is 100% random.

PS. If you’re new here, we’d love to have you find a way to follow along. We have a lot of fun around here.
PPS. Tag someone in the comments below that you think is BEAUTIFUL and tell us all why!
My mother was the most inspirational person to me. A wonderful woman, mother, and teacher. I am so lucky to have had someone like her in my life! My daughter Lacey McLennand is also an amazing mother - she is such a natural at it. Guess it's in the genes!!
The bottom one is me and my son at the local renaissance festival. His daddy makes chainmaille andvwe didn't want him running off so we made his shirt with an attachable safety leash..... plus he's walking like a t rex!!!!!
I think my favourites today are the cop and his family (look at the son? on the far right . . . too funny!), and the bride giving the flower girl a kiss . . . :)
My crazy, outgoing, independent daughters who never, ever, follow the crowd; instead, they pave their own road. Morgan Nix & Taylor Nix
Stephanie Coons - My friend Steph is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met! She had her sons at a young age but has done an amazing job raising them! She cares so much about others and would do anything for anyone. She also has her own Relay For Life team and works on raising money for them year round. Oh, and today is her birthday! Happy birthday again my beautiful Steph!!!!
My husband Alex Sills is the most beautiful person in my world. I've never known anyone work so hard, be so honestly committed to doing everything just right. Whether its for his clients at work, looking after me, helping me out, extra thoughtful things that he does every day, he needs to know how amazing I think he is and he deserves for everyone else to know it too :)
Kristina, Melissa, Misty, Ashley, and Collette. They are amazing Mothers who would do anything for their families. They are beautiful inside and out. They are the most wonderful friends a girl could ask for. I love them all!
Jenna Cross Mayne lives two states away from me but we have known each other since college about 29 years now, There have been sometimes when we will go months and months without talking, sometimes are conversations take place over text. but when we do talk, its like we have not skipped a single heart beat. We constantly tease each other, can talk about any subject under the sun, and she can tell me when im being a dumbass in the sweetest way. and I can say that I have always respected her opinnion! Love you Jenna!!!
Christina my friend for taking me with her to church today and for talking me off the ledge so many times as I go through this nasty-ass divorce. For Lorrie, my soon-to-be-ex-husband's first ex-wife for pointing out that history does sometimes repeat itself and it's still ugly. Colleen for being my mom...they just don't get any more awesome than her...so many more, for just being who they are!
Sara Bonde McLennand because her spirit is never ending and because she is an amazing mother/grandmother! Also, Jennifer Hernann because she always has my back, can always make me smile and is the best friend anyone could ask for. And... Christine Stevens Cunningham because her guidance, support and friendship through our new "Holland" is a treasured gift!
Princess Bodani - I have never met a woman with a bigger heart, more spirit, and better grammar skills. Seriously though, she is absolutely one of the best people I know and I am honored to call her friend. She, to me, is the embodiment of beauty.
