sad.... but great story in the end...
Awesome. Simply awesome. I'd cry but then ppl would be asking what's wrong. Lol
I believe if we all just slow the heck down and spend 30 seconds listening to the other person, we just might learn something. No matter what, we can always find someone who has it worse than we do. "Every time you think you got it bad; You can find someone who's got it worse" Be grateful for what you got. Thanks for changing the way we look at the world, Dan. =D
So proud of you and the love you have made louder.
Sad for the lady that hit them, but what a wonderful story.... Paying it forward is always good.... :-)
Love this!
It´s like waves on the water, reaching out... Wonderful :-)
This is like Pay It Forward. One day, they're going to make a movie about it. With a happier ending though.
This is awesome. Just what I needed--a reminder that people are good!
Hope all is well and that you had a merry christmas!
xoxo,
Sierra
Oh, Just Living the Dream
I did tear up, Stephanie I love you <3
Dan, you're an inspiration. I've gone back through your old posts and I see the changes you've made in yourself, your journey. Now it's a journey for ALL of us.
Love this!
When she said, "We would have never bothered to find out anything about her or to see past our own anger at being hit of Christmas day to be able to see that she was fighting a 'very great battle.'" It reminded me of the song "My Own Little World" by Matthew West.

Now THAT's paying it forward!! You are an inspiration, Dan, and it's plain to see you have inspired others in a wonderful way! And good for you Stephanie, for taking a bad situation and being able to see a person in need and give her the compassion she needed.
Virus successfully spreading - huzzah!
Yay. :) (It's just -so- easy to make a difference, isn't it? All we have to do is take a breath before we react, or act...)
Dan you are an inspiration!
That is beautiful.
Wow! God bless you Dan for being an inspiration to Stephanie and I know that Stephanie and her husband will be an inspiration to others. Oh, if we could all just pay it forward!
Thank God for that dog bite!
See bud, you made a ripple and you'll never know how far that will travel : )
That brings tears to my eyes! I love it.
Beautiful - just beautiful!
Aww! Stop making me cry!!
awesome
Awesome story!!!
Dan, this just goes to show that what you are doing here makes a difference. I am happy that Stephanie and her husband looked beyond the outside appearances of what happened and were able to ease someone's burden a bit because of it. May we all be reminded to be kind in all circumstances, especially difficult ones!
I have goosebumps!
Amazing!
Yay! I LOVE that love is LOUDER - and gets LOUDER as we pay it forward!
It's amazing to see the wonderful chain-reaction of love ... Fills my heart with love!!!
Inspiring...
This is LOVE! I am so happy to be able to read your posts. You truly inspire people. That's just amazing. Thank you for having such a beautiful heart!
<3 and I agree with Julie in Cincinnati. Share the love.
Wow I love this story yet I am saddened by that woman's loss of her brother, may he RIP
talk about paying it forward - wow!
This is our beautiful world.......LOL !
Beautiful. Spreading the love big time!xx
Skip looking at the mistakes, and instead help with the battles. Great way to live life!
<3
See what happens when you do something good? It becomes contagious. Good on you!
Wow! Dan, you have started a chain reaction of good deeds!
Hi Dan! I don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but maybe the girl who rear-ended Stephanie would be a good candidate as one of the other families you're going to bless with some of the donated money. It sounds like her family could use some love since they're dealing with a death and now an accident (even if she had insurance, I'm sure there's a deductible that the girl would have to come up with). And since she said she didn't know how they were going to pay for her brother's arrangements, I'm guessing there was no life insurance. I know that Stephanie set up a Paypal account, and maybe that account could be boosted a little bit from the SDL account. Just an idea..... Dan, your heartfelt kindness is awesome and you bless so many people with your words. Keep being awesome!! :-)
Stephanie, you and your husband sound like amazing people! Not only is Love Louder on here, but it's so awesome to hear about love and kindness being paid forward.
I am glad that people pay attention to you, at the same time I find it sad that anyone has too have an example to realize that other have feelings to. That someone has to remind them that they dont know what is going on in someone elses life. That your pain or anger is more important. I just think the world would be a much better place if we all took that one moment to breath and remember that we are all dealing with another person that has thoughts and feelings just as we do.
@RebeccaMoreno .. Most of us know this. But most of us can use a reminder every once in a while, and Dan should be commended for doing just that in an incredible way!
@Matt D @RebeccaMoreno I agree with Matt - not that we don't all feel empathy, but our modern world keeps us so insulated from each other that these reminders of kindness are not unwelcome at all. I'd venture to say they are, in fact, quite necessary in keeping us connected to each other. IMO. :)
That is so awesome! Bet that made you feel good!
This is amazing. This is because of you!! You rock and so does this woman!
Love is louder. Thank you Dan for doing so much to inspire others -- it is wonderful to see people coming together in this way!
This is wonderful. Thank you Stephanie for making our world a little bit kinder this Christmas! I hope that I would have had the empathy and presence of mind to react as you did.
Aw....if you keep this up, Dan, I'm going to start to love people too! :)
@Debbie Roberts lololol!! love this post
And this is what life is supposed to be about xx
