The other day, Noah and I decided to take a fun picture of ourselves. It eventually turned into this:
And since we love doing Photoshop together, that eventually turned into this:
But what I didn’t know was that while I was off getting gear, or maybe doing my hair, or maybe who knows what, Noah was having a good ol’ time with the camera and my little remote control.
This is what I found on the camera when I unloaded the card:

I am a firm believer that kids need access to a camera, even if it isn't a good one! I love seing some of the things my 6 year old finds to take pictures of.
We went to dinner the other night and my almost 5 year old was playing with my phone. After dinner I went out for some drinks with my brother to celebrate his birthday, husband and son went home. Yesterday, I was thinking "I wonder if I took any pictures with me and my brother." I open my photo gallery on my phone and there are literally 24 pictures of just part of my sons face while he is making different faces. It was nice being able to laugh at work on a Monday. :)
How cute! I love digital photography. It's allowed people to take photos of whatever they want without incurring a huge cost to develop the film. He's a clever boy and you're a great dad.
I have a similar story. About 5 years ago, when my sone was 10 and just hitting his 1st growth spurt, he decided he was going to use our camera to take some video of himself... jumping & doing flips on our leather couch. Being a mother, I did not allow this behavior, not so much because of the leather couch, but more so becasue I didn't want him to crack his head open. The funny part of this story is that my husband I didn't find the videos until a year after they were made and he was trying to make space on the card for some event. We had NO idea he had ever done this and it was a little late to enforce a punishment.

Good reminder for me to not worry about taking too many pictures of my kids, I'm going to love them even more when they are older. Also I probably should learn not to be so protective of my camera, or this will never happen :/ My camera is my 3rd baby though, I have a very hard time sharing it, especially with a 2 year old. I like to do all the shooting.

I'm sure my Dad still has a couple of pictures in a box somewhere. He got the film developed and first there was a picture of the rear end of a moose statue he had, which garnered a "WTH?" and then a picture of my brother in the mirror, taking a picture of himself! He STILL tried to deny it!
How cute!! My girls get a hold of the camera sometimes. The pics they take are funny! I've gotten heads, arms, an eye, half an ear, toys, the dog, the chair with no one in it and one time TWO bare bums!! I laughed for hours about that one.
