Finally, my favorite post of the week! Every Sunday morning I take some of the photos that you have uploaded to the Facebook wall, and I post them here. I love This is Beautiful You because it gives me (and everybody else) an incredible glimpse of who we all are. It puts a face on the awesome people coming here. It gives us a beautiful idea of the uniqueness and diversity of the followers here at SDL. More than anything, it shows all of us just how beautiful we each can be.

That black and white shot of the fellow and his little boy warms my heart...that is my son and grandson. My son has had issues and I have custody of my grandson but I have this picture in my grandson's room to let him know that his dad loves him! Through all of the trials and issues and separations, love is louder!

Megan Auvil: who is the most amazing best friend, gracious person, exceptional mother and role model, and tower of strength despite all that life hands her. She is strong and loving and wise and giving. I am thankful to know her.
I loved them all but my favorite was great-great grandma holding the baby..reminded me of my grandmother (99yrs) who got to hold her last great-grandbaby a couple of weeks before she passed away..
Heather Houston, for adopting me on here, for being an incredible mother, and for not having a man and being okay with it, thus saving me from crying binges after I would hear of her man, when I am living my life of 'What Men Prefer...Is Not Me'.
My husband Thane Dusek is the most beautiful person I know. He is my rock!!! He loves me more than I have ever been loved before and I feel like I love him more than I have loved anyone besides my children. 3rd Xs a charm. I finally found someone with whom I want to grow old with.
Pamela Graham, because she is such a wonderful person who gives so much more than she gets in return.

These always make me smile, but my favourite today was the couple dancing at their wedding - you can see all the people watching but you just know that to them, there's no one else in the world in that moment :)
@Arynn Thank you very much! This is a picture of myself and my husband at our October 2012 wedding. Four of the people you can see in the background are our parents watching our first dance. Needless to say, we had a great photographer :).

This little boy is my beautiful, precious nephew, Christopher, who is fighting for his life right now https://www.facebook.com/oOSusanOo/posts/547156958636314 we just found out only Wednesday that he has an aggressive form of cancer that is very advanced. He has been so happy despite everything going on, he's such a bright and beautiful soul in my family's lives. I hope and pray every moment we get to enjoy him for years to come.

Cathy Diane Smith is, and has always been, beautiful to me. She raised my brother and I by herself, with more unconditional love and patience than I've ever seen anyone else display. She continues to be both of her kids' best friends, though we're 36 and 40. There is no better grandma on earth, just ask her 8 grandchildren. The past 2 years, I have watched her handle unemployment, and a chronic illness diagnosis with grace and optimism. She found love again, despite the trials she was going through, and found herself again in the process. The self that she put away when she decided that a mother's job was to give everything up for your kids. She's happy, and radiant, and every time I look at her these days, I'm struck by how beautiful she is, and how very much I hope to be living a life that makes her grandkids look at me that way one day.

Amanda De Jong because she is so inspiring not only to me, but to others. She has flipped her life so much to be a positive person and I consider her one of the brightest lights I know! Oh and did I mention she's a hell of a mother?
My husband, Bob Lowry because he is the most loving, caring, giving and forgiving man, husband, daddy, son, brother and soldier I have ever met. He has shown me support beyond words. He stands for everything I believe family and country should be about. He prays with me, plays with me and is the world to our children.

Veronica Larson, again! She's one of my best friends that truly values the friendship we have, as well as the other things in life. Joe LeRoy, he's honest to a fault, and understands who he is and doesn't let others compromise that. As we get older, he does not hesitate to change his point of views on life because he knows that is the definition of maturing.
Pam Norris Sullivan, Kim Blythe, Alicia Sallee are three of the most beautiful I know. They are full of love, acceptance, and open arms for someone who needs a little help. I'm honored to know these women and treasure their presence in my life!! Love and miss you ladies so much!!!!!!
My friend, Erin Garrigan Bauersachs, is beautiful, because she inspires me and motivates me, everyday. She's smart, creative and artistic and tons of fun to be around!
