32 More of the CREEPIEST Things Ever Said by Kids

Doll issued a sea shore

Over on the SDL Facebook wall, I asked you what the creepiest thing was that you’ve ever heard a kid say.

I had no idea what to expect.

This is what I got.

32 More of the Creepiest Things Ever Said by Kids

1. My daughter had an imaginary friend named Sally, she told me once about how Sally was in jail for chopping her mom’s head off….

2. Two years ago my door bell rang. When I answered there was a little kid 4 or 5 standing there that I didn’t recognize. Before I could say anything, she yelled “just so you know it’s your turn to die!” and she disappeared around the corner again. I followed but couldn’t see her anywhere. Luckily I didn’t die.

3. My 5 year old handed me a rock and said, “You can use this for your grave.”

4. My daughter when we were home alone one night, “mommy, who’s that man on the ceiling?”

5. My kids ( ages 5,4,&3) are constantly talking about the “bloody girls” in their rooms. They each go into detail about them. Their names… Their clothes, what they talk about. It started when my oldest had just turned three. He said that they had been in a small green car, that fell in the water. The water turned red and their mommy and daddy were really sad. He said they liked their rooms because they have fun toys.

6. My son (3 at the time) threw a huge tantrum when we were trying to leave the house because he “didn’t want to crash and die”. After about 10 minutes he just stopped and was ready to go. As we were walking out of the house there was a very bad accident on the street in front of our house – right where we would have been driving if he hadn’t thrown his fit.

7. “The shadow man keeps talking to me at my window.”

8. My almost 4 year old burst in on me in the bathroom. When I screamed for her to get out, he said, “Mommy, it’s just a coochy. I see them all the time!”

9. I was reading a story to my daughter when she suddenly slammed it shut, point to the empty doorway, and screamed “you get out of here! You’ve killed enough people!”

10. My 2yr old talks and walks in his sleep. About a month after his second birthday I heard him talking in his sleep in the middle of the night so I thought aww cute I will go listen. Peeked in and he was sitting bolt upright in bed eyes wide open hands folded in lap. He said, “naughty mummy. Naughty daddy. No more mummy, no more daddy.” Then he laughed really creepily lay down and started snoring.

11. “I need to get my hands on a giant penis so I can put this fire out all the way!”

My Aunt Thelma died in 1977; I was born in 1995. I've always known she was supposed to be a significant part of my life, and I've always felt she was "missing." Some of my earliest memories are of feeling a void that she was meant to fill and looking for her. I cried for her at night. But no one told me I had an Aunt Thelma until I was seven. No one talked about her. On the rare occasions that she was mentioned, I would want to hear more, but my family would just brush it off. When I was fourteen, I became obsessed with her, and I would regularly visit her grave and freely weep. Everyone thought it was creepy. "But you didn't even KNOW her!" they said. Well, one day, I was at a local thrift store looking at vintage books when a pocket-sized blue one fell open at my feet. When I picked it up, I noticed the words "May you ever continue in service for Christ. Thelma Johnson, April 1961." written inside the cover in faded ink. Though I had never seen Aunt Thelma's handwriting, I immediately recognized that to be it, and that fact was confirmed by my daddy. But I still don't understand how the book ended up at that thrift store. Aunt Thelma was several states away from here when she died.

I had always had some weird thing going on from telling my mom that she wasn't my mom and that I lived on a farm that burned and I died in it, to seeing my dad after he died.  But what really stuck with me happened when I was 35 years old.  My legs had really been hurting and I just could seem to get the muscle cramps to relax.  Well one night I went to sleep and in the midst of my dreaming, everything went white.  I saw someone walking towards me and as they got closer I saw it was my dad.  He walked right up to me as if looking into a video lens and yelled at the top of his lungs "BLOOD CLOTS!" and walked away.  I stayed asleep and went on with my dreams.  The next morning, I remembered it vividly... so I took myself to the health clinic (crap insurance) and told the doctor that I thought I had blood clots.  He said I was being ridiculous but if it made me feel better he would order the test and when it came back negative, we could start to work on getting to what really was wrong with my legs.  I said fine and off I went to have something like an ultrasound but it shows the blood flow in your veins and arteries.  Well, I went in and the technician did the test and afterwards she excused herself for a few minutes.  When she came back, I asked if I had blood clots.  She told me she couldn't interpret the tests but a doctor would be in shortly.  I told her about my dream and the doctor's visit that morning.  She looked right at me and said she couldn't  tell me what the results were but that I wasn't going to be allowed to leave the hospital and if I had any family I wanted with me, I should call them now.  When the doctor came in, he told me I had blood clots in both my legs from my knees to my ankles and some had already broken off and were in my lungs... If I hadn't gone in when I did, it could have been fatal.

My dad saved my life and I spent a week in the hospital just getting the clots under control!

I was not a big believer in anything spiritual, but my great-grandmother was. She was 73 when we moved into a new house; a really big house with three floors and a basement. She told me I would have to anoint the house this time because she could not reach all of the windows and doors in the house. I had no idea she did this and my mother let her to give her peace of mind. So she showed me what to do with the oil and memorized a pray.

One night, I was putting my baby brother to sleep, my other little brother, 4, was asleep as was my great-grandmother. As I was getting ready to sleep on the couch, my four year old brother came down the steps and ran up and hit me! I asked him what was that for and he yelled this "He doesn't like the stuff on the door that it off!" I screamed for my great grandmother and woke her up. As calm as ever she told me not to be afraid and just keep doing the anointing ever now and then. The first thing I did when I moved into my new place was anoint it!

My Aunt Tammie passed away when I was very young. I have a few memories of her from when I was like 3 or 4. I am sitting with her and she is tickling me. I can smell her flowery perfume. I found out this year she passed away when I was only 1 yrs old. I remember missing her my whole childhood.

When my niece was  around 3 she and her little sister were taking a bath in the tub when she turns to my sister and says "Lexi is gonna die in the water" Lexi is her little sister. My sister promptly took her out of the tub.

Notice how the majority of the stories are about kids ages 2-5.

When talking about "past lives" i think it is because when you are that age. It is a different stage then the rest of

Your childhood because you are smart enough to understand certain situations

And have a pretty good idea of whats going on around you. BUT have no memory

Of your life at those ages. Coiincedence?

When my younger cousin was 3 and I was 15, we were down in my aunt and uncle's basement when he started staring at a blank wall. He then turned and said to me, "Who's that man?" I said, "What man?" He turned to the wall and then turned to me again and said, "His name is Don". My grandpa who died when I was 2 and and my cousin wasn't even born yet was named Don. So, I thought of the idea to take a picture of the wall with my phone real quick. When I was taking the picture, I didn't see anything. When I actually snapped the picture, you could clearly see what looks like an orb floating in front of the wall where my cousin is looking. I still have that picture to this day.

When my son was three, his headstart class got together and had an Easter egg hunt....complete with a Easter bunny guy dressed up. The "Easter  Bunny" was taking pictures with the kids who where standing in line and everybody was happy and smiling. Every kid was enthusiastically holding their baskets with eggs and candy it them, happy as any kid could be.

Not my son. He held his basket tight and was staring intently at the Bunny. When it finally became his turn I scooted in kinda close to snap a few feel good pictures...and I heard him quietly (but eerily) tell the Easter Bunny that he had his babies in his basket, he would never see them again...because he intended on eating them. Then he quickly turned and flashed me a dazzling smile for the camera.

Shocked me, shocked the Easter bunny, and the picture made the paper.

I was older when I had my stories starting about 12 or 13 but they freak me out to this day. My mum had recently moved back to our town and I had been to visit her, we'd had a pretty good evening which was rare for us so she walked with me so she could call her parents from a payphone on the way. I walked on homewards but had a horrid feeling all the way. I'd had some bully trouble so was used to being nervous but this was different, I could see someone coming behind me, too far to see who it was and I was moving quicker cos I really felt I was being followed and creeped out by it, a real feeling of dread.

As I was born with a heart defect, this took a lot out of me and I made it to my cousins, just round the corner from home as I felt safe there and just waited a few minutes to catch my breath. Someone comes round the corner... it's my mum... She'd called her folks and found out my cousin had committed suicide that day by hanging from the school goalposts...

Probably not a freaky as some of the stories here, but the dread was real... I knew something had happened long before I stopped walking or knew it was my mum following.

We've always had a very morbid run of luck in our family, I was meant to go to Hillsborough but my dad had to work so we couldn't go, dad was in Hungerford the day Michael Ryan went berserk with a machine gun and most scarily my brother, cousin and I missed a murder suicide on a vacation in the States by ten minutes.

We were at a pool hall but my brother couldn't drink there as he'd forgotten his ID. The car had broken down so we had to call my dad to come and jump start us. As we were waiting, a really cute girl pulled up next to us, she looked upset, we thought about asking if she was ok but Dad showed up, we sorted the car. Now the scary part. I will always remember looking at my watch, cos I wanted to know how much drinking time we had left. 9:49pm... We go on have  a good night, next morning the mechanic comes to tow the car to be fixed and we tell him about where we'd been... he asked what time and goes white says we need to speak to the police as he was there last night, just minutes after we left the cute girls boyfriend drove into the spot we were parked in, they argued and he shot her dead just before 10pm...then himself! Had my dad been a minute or two later I'd have gone and tried chatting her up, her boyfriend would have shown up, we'd have been in the argument and my brother, a soldier and a US Marine respectively would have no doubt gotten involved... the scariest thing? The police asked if we knew the girl so they told us her name... went back told my other cousin, she was one of her former classmates from High School... scarier to come.

The last "escape" for me was 7/7, the day of the bombings in London, I'd booked 2 days off work cos I was going with a mate to see Queen play Hyde Park... my boss had cancelled my leave last minute so instead of being in Kings Cross tube as I would have been (cos of my pre-booked tickets and time of arrival) I was arguing and nearly quitting my job at how unfair it was... then the news came and I was in shock... ironically I ended up with the day off anyway cos it completely struck me dumb...

Our first born was stilborn-26 weeks gestation.

My son who was two and a half at the time looked at me randomly and told me "mommy sometimes I play with Laura in my bedroom, I read her stories but not ones about bears, bears scare her" I asked him to tell me more about her, he said "she has long curly hair and she is bigger than me, not big like my cousin Brooke (who was 8) but big like my cousin Preese (who was 12)"

He also asked me one afternoon "mommy who was that big man who was chasing me? I had to run real fast to get away from him, he took Laura but I was able to get away! I heard a knocking, then seen a bright light I was really scared but it was just daddy I saw, I got away from the big scary man!"

My 2 yr old daughter was chatting to herself in bed one night, I went in and asked her who she was talking to, "Grandma Kay" she replied, her Grandma Kay had been dead over 15 years and she had never been told about her so she could not have known she had a Grandma Kay. I think most of this is proof that children are far more able to see spirits than adults, when they are little most parents start telling them that spirits and ghosts are not real, we tell them that they did not really see or hear what they know they did. Many many children are born with psychic / clairvoyant abilities and we literally program them out of it by telling them the feelings, things they see and things they hear are not real , we scare them out of it by foisting our own fears onto them, especially the fear that these abilities are a mental illness. They are not.

when my daughter was 3, I was in the early stages of my second pregnancy.  one night she looked up to the ceiling at bedtime and started smiling, giggling, saying and waving bye-bye.  I asked her what she was looking at and she said the baby is leaving.

the next day I went to my scanning appointment and found out I had two fetuses and one was gone.

just a cute and creepy story:

once there was a little girl who died at the age of 4. usually, back then, most kids were buried with their favorite toys. this girl was buried with a doll. the doll had yarn hair and painted- on eyes. two weeks after she was buried, her dad found that doll on the front porch. he thought it was some miscommunication so he went back to the cemetery and had it buried again. two weeks later, her mom finds the doll in the girl's old playroom. the doll is dirty and wet. her mom brings it back to the priest and they bury it again. two weeks later, the housekeeper goes into the girl's room to vacuum, and she sees the doll sitting on the little girl's bed with a note that read: it's dark and cold. i don't like it here. why won't you let me come home?

so another thing that happened to me was:

i'm 15, so i babysit little kids. mostly my family friend's kids. i remember, back in october, i was babysitting a 6 year old girl named avery. avery had some trouble writing; her letters got jumbled up and they weren't on the lines. it was after i just gave avery dinner, and she wanted to color. so i gave her some plain paper and crayons and i was shocked to see what she had written. she drew a picture of her mom and dad and her, all holding hands. then below the picture, she tried to write her name but she put all the letters in the wrong order, so it was "arevy" not "avery". but then, in bright red crayon on the very bottom of the paper, she spelled out the word "bitch". it was neat and spelled right and her "i" was perfectly dotted. i asked her why she wrote that and she told me "i'm gonna show this to my mommy when she gets home to remind her not to say that word anymore."

my little sister, lily, was supposed to be a twin but the other baby didn't make it. we never knew if it was supposed to be a boy or a girl, and we never told lily about it. she's 8 now, but she was 4 at the time. i was reading to lily one night, and she finally fell asleep. it was 8:00. i didn't know she was sleeping so i read 2 more books. then, at 8:25, i was walking out of her room and she woke up, turned on the lamp on her bedside table, and asked me, "what happened to my sister?" i answered, "nothing, i'm fine" and she replied "no, my other sister. my sister that looks just like me. what happened to her?"

I'm not a parent but this is something that happened to me I was 11 closing in on 12 when my dad died of cancer he was very young when he died and had bin fighting cancer for 5 1/2 years so I had always bin more mature then the other kids because I understood logic on a deeper lever and I wouldn't tease the other kids with them I was made fun of, because I had never told them my dad was sick or that he couldn't come to school events ,they thought my mother was a single mom, (why I'm telling you this is so you will understand why this effected me so much) when that had happened (his dead) the day before we put him in the ground ,also the week before I started a new school, I had a vivid dream of me starting school again and having it be hell by the end of the dream I was in my room hiding in my closet and crying my eyes out in my sleep. Then I suddenly felt someone hugging me and thinking it was my mom I closed my eyes and cried into their shirt and I heard a muffled voice voice say "It's ok baby girl daddies here" when I released it wasn't my mom I looked up to their face and saw the last time I had saw my dad ok and well I was shocked and didn't know what to think then the dream shifted to a church and we we're standing I started looking around and I saw a lot go people crying but their was this one guy that keep popping up everywhere I looked he looked like my dad and then he popped up next to me looked me in the eye, winked and said in my dad's voice "Make me proud baby girl just remember you'll always be my little princess" that was something he never told my older sisters to this day this is the only time i've told someone about this

Nightgirl
Nightgirl

ages 7-10 yrs old i would have Night terrors. I would wake up crying, but a lot of the dreams weren't really scary but more on the lines of stressful. for example, my mom and i had moved, i still had boxes that needed to be unpacked, i had a dream that no matter how hard i tried i couldn't get one of the boxes out of my room... so i woke up crying. I only remember a few of my dreams that i had. but my parents have told me what i do. I would walk, talk in my sleep and even have my eyes open. i was afraid to sleep in my room so i would sleep on the couch in my living room, not too far from my dads room. (what i saw, while i was dreaming) i was standing in the middle of the living room staring into the eyes of the Grimm reaper, i was crying and didn't move. (what my dad saw in reality) he heard me crying and came out into the living room and saw me standing there crying and was trying to talk to me. I don't recall ever seeing my dad or hearing him, he told me where he was standing and it wasn't where i saw the reaper so its not like i had mistaken my dad for the reaper. You cant just wake someone up from a night terror because its like your body is awake but your mind is still dreaming. so my parents would get me to lay down and go back to sleep... so in the morning my dad told me about that night but i never saw him in my dream. its really weird. I swear this is not a lie. I'm really glad the night terrors stopped though.

When I was a small child (younger than six) living in Louisiana, my brother and I shared a room across the hall from our parents.  Being children, we liked to sleep with our door open and their door open so that we could see into their room at night.  Every night, almost without fail, I saw a young couple standing in the doorway of my parents' room smiling and watching us.  I was never afraid of them, as they never did anything but stand and smile at me.  I don't remember much about the man, but the woman had long dark hair and wore a blue dress.  Another man seemed to be fond of munching on snacks in our bedroom during the night at the foot of my brother's bed.  They weren't the only people I saw in that house, though they are the ones most prominent in my memory because they were there most frequently.  I didn't really like to talk about it much because I knew most people would think it was a child's imagination (though I have always been positive that they were really there).  I found out just a few weeks ago that my brother saw them too.  All of them.

My cousin (who was around 4 at the time) was visiting us for the weekend. He has an extremely high voice that gets higher and higher as he gets more excited. As we were putting him to bed, he suddenly said in a really deep voice "shut the door so you don't let the demon in". He lives in an extremely non religious family so we have no idea where he got demon from...

Once when I was about 4 (circa 1975), I was in the car with my mother and we were listening to the radio.  As my mother told the story, the song was from the late 1940s, when she was a girl, but she had not said a word about it.  I leaned over the seat and said, "I remember that song from when I was a big girl!"

Whenever i try and talk to her about the baby now, she just giggles and says 'sissy is hungry'

So, I have a new one, in case you do another segment at some point. Today, Brenna, my three year old, spoke in different voices, as she is playing pretend with a lap full of stuffed animals- "Well the foods is all cooked up, and that stupid baby is in the oven because it's stupid." "No, I won't eat that. Ew." "Well, get that stupid baby out of the oven!"

When I was 14, I was hit by a drunk driver (while in another car). The car I was in was ripped nearly in two and I was ejected from it.  This happened about 100 feet from my house and it took my family only moments to get to the scene.

As I lay there on the ground, I saw a van at the side of the road and a man had knelt down in asked me if I was ok. I blinked and told him yeah, I'm fine.. I think I broke my leg.  He tapped me on the shoulder and said I was going to be just fine.

I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, I could see my brother running with a flash light toward me as I lay in the middle of the road.

After I recovered, I asked them who that was and they said that it was impossible. No one could have pulled up, sat with me and drove off from the time they heard the crash and arrived at my side.

I was in a head on collision when I was 18. Immediately after the car came to a stop a little old lady in a red sweater came into the car and grabbed the bible from the back seat put my bloody hand on it and told me everything was going to be ok..... She disappeared and No one else saw her... I believe with my whole heart she was my guardian angel!

@ErecStark @Jim_L  such as? appearance? or do I have any more details as to who it might have been?

no clue who it could have been. Cops didn't see any cars or vans and my family who observed the scene moments after from the front door didn't see any other people there. From the time the accident happened to the time on scene of my brother was estimated less than 2 mins as the accident happened about 50 feet from the end of my driveway, about 100 feet from my front door, in total.

Jim_L
Jim_L

@nowayh  it wasn't the guy who hit me. The guy who hit me was a 17 year old with brown hair. The person who was staring at me was a blonde man wearing glasses, jeans and a button down shirt. Off to the side of the road was a blue van. The car which I was struck with was a 1980 Malibu.

Believe me.. I've tried to convince myself that it was the kid.. but it wasn't. I cannot reconcile the differences in appearance in conjunction with the fact that the kid was still in his car when my brother got to the scene.. and no one with a BAC of .20 would have been coherent enough to do all that by the time my family got to the scene moments after it happened. They could see the scene out of the front door of our house.
