32 Animals that Prove Mother Nature Has a Sense of Humor

Much thanks to Angie who forwarded me this fantastic email fruitcake that’s been getting passed around the Internet and for a reason. These are the animals both nightmares and fantasies (and maybe a combination of both) are made of.

I’ve seen it a few times now and every time, it sucks me in all over again, so it’s probably a good one to share with all of you (exactly as it was sent to me)! No Photoshopping required.

Wow it must have taken you a long time to get the image rights to post all of those photos!!! It's amazing none of the photographers asked to have their work cited especially with such cool pictures!

The giant angora rabbit & the chicken (feathers are backwards due to genetics) are kind of out of place.. but the rest are cool.

There truly are some amazing creatures out there! I was skeptical about some of them because, really? But Google shows that there are people who research and proves (or disproves) that at least some of the images floating around on the net are real! Thanks for sharing.

AWESOME! Now lets just hope they don't go endangered from people wanting them as pets or whatever ;)

Does the Mantis shrimp look sorta like an Ood to anyone else??  Say I'm not the only fan of Doctor Who on following this blog!

PS: thank heavens #4 isn't named the Shoehorn ;)

I just looked up the goblin shark as it looked the most fake out of all of these, and no. just no. It's mouth protrudes out of its body when it is going to bite something. My own mouth came rather unhinged seeing the video o.O

Thanks, Dan, I needed a fun animal diversion where I wasn't tempted to buy a pet!

Omg he is soooo cute. Like something out of a Brian Froud/Jim Henson collaboration. Only he's real!

The first pic is why it took me 20 years to get into the damned ocean. I blame you for the next many years of my non return. :P

for the first time this summer I saw the Hummingbird hawk-moth lunching on my flowering bushes. They are so amazing. they move like a humming bird, feed like a butterfly, there wings are like a moth and it's back is bee like with a fuzzy bird like tail

Skunk is not on the list...LOL...We have a "Mr. Stinky" that lives somewhere on our acreage and comes out to play around our house at night...twice with our dog...at his last time outside potty break...so 11:30 deskunking baths had to be given...UGH.... My husband commented just the other night that God has a sense of humor to give such a cute little black and white fluffy creature such an awful stench!

When I see the cow with the long tail, I just wonder how many times the cow got his tail stepped on.....

Eight pages?? Really? Advertising revenue down? I get it is your livelihood, but NO one on the interwebs needs to click through 8 pages for 32 reposted pictures.

Scary stuff. And o think that sci-fi directors paid millions to creators of alien and predator! Look to nature, people!

I like the red lipped fish or whatever it was. It's funny it looks pissed off. I would be too if I had to wear red lipstick ALL the time ;)

Glad to see the narwhal! My husband didn't believe they exist - he also didn't believe that Emperor Penguins can grown to 48 inches! That goodness for the internet, they can't lie on the internet! LOL

@Traci Becka I actually enjoyed this post. I have never seen the pictures before. If you don't like it, don't look at it. No need to be negative.
