UPDATE June 19, 2012:
In the history of Single Dad Laughing, I have never before written anything derogatory against a specific person.
This original webpage did just that against Andy Hinds from Beta Dad as well as select bloggers at Dad Centric, and I am not proud of that.
While I maintain my assertion that there is much that can be improved when it comes to pettiness and hostility in certain parts of the dad blogging world, no part of me ever felt comfortable with what I published here, and so I have decided to remove it.
As dad bloggers, we should all be supporting and encouraging each other. I hope that time will prove itself beneficial to the repair of these relationships.
I have nothing but best wishes for Beta Dad and the other dads at Dad Centric with whom there have been problems. I hope you’ll all accept my apology for writing this webpage in response to those that you have written about me. I’d also like to extend an invitation to somehow bury the hatchet and move beyond the past.
Dad blogging can be a great blessing to fellow parents, and I believe we can all somehow band together to give it longevity and a great name.
I have admittedly been angered and hurt by Hinds and some of the dad bloggers at Dad Centric since starting SDL, and I believe it is safe to say that emotions have run high on the other side about me. I hope we can all just let go of it and move forward with the goal of making dad blogging a more respected and meaningful platform.
