Controversial and “super popular” dad blogger not sure how long he can maintain a clean nose with other parent bloggers.

Few people hold as many blogging records as does Dan Pearce of the blog Single Dad Laughing. He’s currently the record holder for most parent bloggers ticked-off in a day, most parent bloggers ticked-off in a week, and most parent bloggers ticked-off ever. He also holds the record for best hair, though several mom bloggers are demanding a new poll now that summer styles have come into season.

But this time Pearce has set a new personal record that conflicts with his bigger records. He’s officially made it two weeks without ticking-off anybody. While many see staying out of trouble as normal, this dad blogger has found it difficult to fly under the radar for even a few days at a time.

“I’m very proud of my accomplishment,” Pearce said. “And as it turns out, it wasn’t that hard. All I had to do was stop being myself and stop doing things that matter to anyone.”

Andy Hinds of the Beta Dad blog said, “If Dan stays out of trouble, life as a blogger just won’t be fun anymore. I won’t have anyone to blame all of the the world’s problems on. I wish he would just write something stupid and sappy like he used to.”

Dan assured us that it would be impossible for him to go forever without ticking-off massive amounts of people. “I’m laying low for now. But to know me is to know that I can only succeed when there are excessive amounts of drama going on. My life isn’t complete if somebody doesn’t want to ring my neck and feed me to the wolves for something I’ve recently done.” He then added, “besides, I’ve gotta earn my licks while I can since How to Be a Dad is about to take over everything and soon Single Dad Laughing will just be a distant memory of a blogger who once was.”

When asked what he might do to stir the pot again he said he wasn’t sure, but that “calling my blog ‘super popular,’ crying about something, or finding ways to almost die usually does the trick.”
