Lily’s Disneyland Surprise!

These parents surprised their daughter with a trip to Disneyland for her 6th birthday. Her reaction is priceless and way too funny!

I'm so tired of everyone who posts here just to bitch and moan. Yes, you're better than everyone else in the world. Actually, if that were true, you wouldn't need to bash people on the internet to try and validate yourself.

My parents did something similar to me many times. I a Disney fanatic and when my 16th birthday came around and I found out that I was getting the one present I wanted most; A Disney birthday I couldn't of been happier and reacted just like this little girl. I'm so glad she got her perfect present

I cried just as much as she did! She's adorable. Good job mom and dad.

This little girl reacts this way to nearly EVERYTHING in her life, if you watch the other YouTube videos. It's who she is. Her mother didn't deny her anything. Get off your soapboxes, please.

I don't understand how people can make such a happy video into fodder for judging the parents. At the risk of sounding sophomoric, Get a life!

There was a TON of backlash and criticism aimed at her parents for that. There were some seriously evil comments made too, I felt bad for the parents. I'm not sure why she's not wearing her belt, but judging the parents so harshly seems a bit excessive, without knowing the whole situation. She's an obviously very loved little girl.

Those parents are doing it right.  This 3-minute snippit shows so much about their family.

Oh my goodness, it's a sweet moment for a little girl! Stop judging every little thing and just be happy for her special trip!

Get a life!!! If you don't like don't watch and don't comment!

What she may or may not be feeling isn't really the issue. It is the objectification of a little girl for our amusement.

He didn't say she is in pain, he said it is painful to watch ... and I agree .... particularly when the mother pushes away the daughter who wants more than anything at that moment to HUG HER MOTHER ... the little girl is clearly overwhelmed and emotional , there is no reason the mother couldn't have just hugged her back instead of just pushing her away .... that girl is so precious

Christina Harvie-Medlam
Christina Harvie-Medlam

the little girl kept trying to hug her mother and was repeatedly pushed away .... the dad was holding baby and even when he tried to pull the daughter in for a hug she wanted to hug her mother .... yes, it was a special moment "caught on camera" ... how much more special would it have been had the little one been able to hug her mother like she so obviously wanted to do - there is no reason the mother couldn't have just hugged her back instead of just pushing her away

Get the Dad to hold the camera? wth is wrong with you? He cant hug her? Get a life party pooper, they captured an amazingly special moment on video.

We shouldn't be ashamed of having emotions, whether they are happy, sad, angry, scared. It's only peoples perceptions that takes that emotion and derives a positive or negative out of it. I just see it for what it is. An emotion. I wish I was her and that age again. A precious time. Thank you for sharing. Of course that's just my perception ;-)

You're really odd, sir. She's not in pain. She's excited and happy. She's been wanting to go for a long time and she's not crying because she's hurt, she's crying because her wish is coming true.

Anyone care she is not wearing a seatbelt?

A girl who doesn't understand emotions. Totally overwhelmed!

Dear PasterAlex,

Get a life. The little girl is so excited she is overwhelmed. My wife burst into tears when I asked her to marry me. At first I thought I had done something wrong, but 33 years later I have learned that that is how she expresses happiness. I see nothing wrong with a video of a little girl expressing happiness and joy. We could use a lot more of that in this world. Or, would you rather that we all walked around with glum and serious expressions all the time?

PastorAlex McGilvery

I understand that she is excited, but the video is still humiliating. Let's say your kids do something that makes you so happy that you completely fall into a ball of mush, not a few happy tears, but total uncontrollable crying. Then refuse to comfort you, then post it on youtube as the cutest video ever. I'm sure that you will send the link to all your friends and want them to watch it. This video treats the daughter as an object to be laughed at for her understandably emotional reaction to having the trip sprung on her at the last minute. (An adult friend almost divorced her husband for pulling the same stunt.) We treat her as an object when we think "Oh, it's so cute how she cries and everything". If we thought of her as a person with feelings and rights we wouldn't be laughing.

This is a video of a moving moment of happiness for this child. It moved me watching it. I cried too. Lol

@Amy Ritchie ummmm...because she's on the couch... :)

@Amy Ritchie What seatbelt? She was sitting on a couch.

@Gianni Armani She understands them perfectly fine. Crying doesn't always accompany pain or sorrow. She's getting something she's wanted, I'm assuming, for a long time in her book and she's finally getting it. She's happier than she's probably ever been and is crying out in joy!

@PastorAlex McGilvery Apparently you have less emotional intelligence than that little girl...

JoeErickson
JoeErickson

@PastorAlex McGilvery Your twisted view of this magical moment is depressing. They are happy and nobody is judging or making fun of her. Nobody with a heart is looking at this moment and wanting to or thinking about making fun of her because she is crying in joy. I'm sorry for whatever happened in your life to give you this point of view but your comment is unnecessary and a tad bit unfounded.

@Cristy Lentz Johnson Me too, glad I am not the only other sappy emotional one.
