That Great Cycle of Life

We’re born. And it begins. The cycle of life. As babies, we know nothing. Our ability to remember hasn’t yet developed. We have no control over our facilities. We babble and coo and make all sorts of funny noises. We can’t talk. We can’t walk. We have a hard time rolling over and everything we do takes strength that we don’t necessarily have. We fart whenever we like. We burp whenever it’ll feel good. Someone has to feed us. Someone has to care for us. Someone has to calm us when we get sensory overload. And then there’s this next stage where we turn into kids, and we grow, and we just kind of appreciate being a part of a bigger world. And we trust people. And our family is the most important thing to us. And then there’s a stage after that where we turn into teenagers, and we grow big tall bodies. And we get easily upset. And our skin starts looking like crap. And friends become the most important thing to us. And our hormones go all crazy. And we experience our first real loves. And we contribute a little, but most of our needs are taken care of by our parents.
