Friends, we found the culprit in the code that has slowed down MemeCabin and caused it to not show any images at times. It was something that only started happening once there were so many users.
It shouldn’t take more than a few days to fix. Android users will have the update within a few hours of it being patched up. Apple users will have to wait for the update to be approved which takes between 4 and 11 days.
But for now… there should be very few (if any) problems with the images now displaying. That was due to the server’s processor being way over capacity, and we have gone to a much higher capacity server.
The app will probably still be pretty slow in some areas until the next update comes out (during peak times), but just wait for a bit and it’ll load up and go fast even right now. Once the updates come out it will be screaming fast, even on mobile.
Long story short, the problem was caused by all of the thumbnail screens for each section trying to load a thumbnail for every meme that existed in the entire section before it shows you any thumbnails at all. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that that won’t work. But we’re fixing it real quick here, don’t worry.
As always, thanks for your patience. Launching things like this always has its hiccups. But once those are smoothed out, should be fairly smooth sailing!
