I’m going to let you in on a little secret.

And the reason it’s a secret is because there is probably a certain group of people in your life who don’t want you to know it.

Those people.

You know the ones I’m talking about.

They’re the ones who have all the answers about how everything should be.

They’re the ones who tell you all the reasons why you should quit.

They’re the ones who tell you all the reasons your big plans will fail.

And, more than anything, they’re the ones who tell you when exactly you’re getting too excited about your successes, when you need to tone it down, and when you need to not withhold excitement in order to protect the feelings of those who may not be as successful as you.

I call these people dream crushers. Yep. As of right now, that’s what I’m going to call them.

Except they crush much more than dreams. They crush happiness. They crush excitement. They crush motivation. They crush enthusiasm. Heck, they’d probably crush your noggin’ just enough to limit your mental capacity forever if they could get away with it.

The funny thing is, they often do all their crushing with such a caring and thoughtful attitude. About you! They are so advanced at it, people actually listen to them. You actually listen to them sometimes!

But this post isn’t about them. I only bring them up so that you can be on the lookout as you go forth in your life from this day on and be the awesomest person that ever walked this good Earth.

Yes, this post is about being AWESOME.

This post is about being incredible.

This post is about chasing your dreams.

And living your life.

And working on your goals.

And sending your positivity out into the world.

It’s about doing all that while looking at the world and yelling, “HELL YEAH!” whenever something good happens to you.

It’s about taking your victories, putting your fist in the air, and yelling, “YAAAAAAYYYY!” every time you have one.

It’s about congratulating yourself for a job well done when you’ve… well… done a job well!

It’s about taking time on your way to your bigger goals to stop and say, “I’m SO excited!” and “I am so happy!” and “go me!” and “I friggin’ rock!”

My heck people.
